Please Come Out and “Share A Meal” with The Salvation Army!

Join the Salvation Army for a delicious gourmet dinner and support our programs to combat hunger in Lake County, Indiana. U-Cook’s cooking school chefs will create a special meal for you, and your donation of dried and canned goods will help provide a healthy meal for those who are in financial crisis or homeless.

Please bring in dried or canned goods to get admission to this event. There will be a separate charge of $5 for appetizers and desserts. There will also be a silent auction and door prizes.

About the Salvation Army in Lake a County, Indiana

The Salvation Army provides food for the hungry through our food pantries and feeding programs. In 2014, we served approximately 15,000 meals to hungry individuals and provided over 16,000 households with food pantry items in Lake County. 79% of the households we serve are families with children, and believe it or not, 24.5% of those children living in Indiana struggle to get their next meal. Approximately, 84,250 people in Lake County, Indiana are food insecure and 40% of those individuals have visited the Salvation Army pantry.
